Reset your work password

If you know your current password and want to change it, or you forgot it and your account is set up for self-service reset, you can often fix this yourself. Here is how, for both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Open your Microsoft account ↗
  1. Go to office.com and sign in.
  2. Select your initials or photo in the top right, then choose View account.
  3. Select Password.
  4. Enter your current password, then your new password twice, and save.
  1. Go to office.com and select Sign in.
  2. Enter your work email, then select Forgot my password (or Can’t access your account).
  3. Follow the prompts to verify your identity by text, call, or the Microsoft Authenticator app.
  4. Create a new password and sign in.

Self-service reset only works if your account was set up for it and you have a verification method on file. If you set up MFA, you already have one.

  • Make it long. A passphrase of several words is stronger and easier to remember than a short, complicated one.
  • Do not reuse a password from another site.
  • Never share it with anyone, including coworkers.

Contact us at support@robb.tech or (806) 370-4700 if:

  • You do not see a reset option or it will not let you reset
  • Your account is locked
  • You think someone else may have your password (this is urgent, so call)

On a different system? Call us and we’ll walk you through it.
